The film festival is in town which means I've been spending alot of time in darkened rooms, staring at a screen. This year's special guest is Anna Karina who I was lucky enough to hear speak about some of her films. She still manages to stand out in a crowd in her bright red coat and juanty black hat.

oh my! i am beyond jealous! anna karina is my number one icon. at first i loved her because she is so gorgeous and in so many great godard films and then i saw her being interviewed and found her to be so charming as well. what was she like at the festival?

danica: the first time i saw her was a real suprise. i was going to buy tickets and she was standing at the corner, smoking a cigarette in her bright red coat. she was really friendly and charming like you said. alot taller than i expected too. :p

i agree - that second picture is incredible. karina seems such an excellent character... my boyfriend said the other day his friend has had the job of showing her around town, how awesome is that! i hope you have been seeing some great films - i wonder what have been your favourites?

ii-ne-kore: wow, what an enviable job indeed! i saw quite a few films and there were definitely some great ones. a very funny documentary is 'little joe'. the last film i saw was 'bluebeard', which i thought was very well done visually.
I have never heard of anna karina. She reminds me of Zoey Deschanel whom I love because she is so adorable and has such a sweet voice.
jealous. that sounds absolutely wonderful.
anna is lovely indeed.
