Reading Orwell and drinking soup as it has been very cold these past few days. My dog is the laziest creature on earth, all she does is sleep all day. What a life.
I found an old swan vase, there is a chip in the back.
"Charlie Chaplin knew from his childhood how helpless and frightened many people feel, how much sadness was mixed with laughter. As someone once said, Chaplin movies put a lump in your throat...and then make you cough it up with a laugh."
I like to collect things. Lately I have been collecting owls and magazines and books. I got this Toulouse-Lautrec book for a few dollars! I also like my bed, it's nice and soft and springy.
These polaroids by Manwinmodesty make me feel like winter- cold nights, thick warm tights and grey skies. She is definitely one of my favourite photographers on Flickr.
I watched this film the other day. Spirit of the Beehive (1973) can be loosely described as a story about two sisters who set out in search of Frankenstein after watching a travelling picture show. Set in 1940s Spain, but at the same time very much inside a child's world, the dreamlike mood and tone of the film is amazing. I was completely absorbed by it.
