I stumbled into a children's shop of little treasures the other day, including these little wooden animals. At this very moment, the horse is sailing across the seas in a little brown package, covered in paper using my terrible wrapping skills.

Spring is finally in the air as people are sneezing and masses of colour from blooming flowers seem to be popping up everywhere I go. I can't wait for the sun again, bare feet, shedding layers, miniature food picnics (tiny bite-size pieces of sushi and sandwiches cut into little squares), long drives to the mountains and quiet afternoons.

The wooden animals are adorable, I'm sure the horse will be well received after his long journey.

What a handsome pair.

I recently picked up for sale a tiny wooden squirrel and an elk very similar to these. There is something wonderful about something carved from wood, isn't there?
