I love these Japanese homes featured on Ku:nel Magazine (found via the lovely ii-ne-kore), they feel so natural and cosy. I can actually imagine real people living there which isn't always the case when I look at interior photography.
(Hmm, looks like I need a trip to Japan soon. I've just made three posts in a row that mention Japan in some way.)

how lovely! what is it that make japanese style so simple, serene and charming? i want more of that in my life xo
i love japanese interiors, so many plants and all that wood.
I want to climb in and make a little nest for myself... do you think that they'd mind?
Oh I don't know your email so I guess this will be be my only point of contact with you.
i just wanted to let you know that I'm so joyous that you have returned to your blogging ways.
I don't know how and when exactly i found your blog but it was during the time when you were away on some sort of journey. There was a stall in posts for a very, very long time. Everytime I checked back there was no change at all in the last post. But I still kept checking. And wow, I checked the other day and there was a whole new slew of posts. All so good and fulfilling, you haven't lost your style.
I thought you should know that someone out there REALLY looks forward to changes in your page and appreciates what you have shared thus far.
I was very pleasantly surprised that you are Australian as well. And possibly from Melbourne? I spyed the cupcakes&bday post. Wow, its great knowing that there's a Melbournian out there who has such a great blog.
Truly, thank-you!
danica: i wish i knew the secret too! i couldn't have described it better myself...
amy: i'd love to have a house filled with plants one day, but i'm scared that i wouldn't be very good at watering them...
gracia: let's both. hopefully no one will kick us out. :)
anon: oh wow, thank you so much for this comment. it was so sweet and encouraging and put such a smile on my face. it's so nice to hear that people enjoy my posts, sometimes i feel like there's no point to it because the net is already filled up with so many wonderful blogs.
