The other week I finally got to see 'Sweetie'- Jane Campion's first film. Her films always strike a chord with me, and are often a little disturbing or strange. 'Sweetie' was no exception. Jane Campion is probably most well known for her film 'The Piano' where she manages to create an entirely different and haunting world altogether.

Apologies as always for the lack of posts. As far as weeks go, it's been a pretty terrible one for me (I'll spare you the depressing details) but I'm optimistic that things will get better soon. Hope you are all well and ready for some Christmas madness. :)

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Campion, although I'm not sure why. It must be a strange personality quirk of mine.

She's one of my favourite directors - I can't wait till Bright Star gets released, I wish they would hurry up and release it, don't they know how much I'm looking forward to it? I mean Campion and Keats, how can you go wrong?

how do you find all these amazing movies?! I always visit your blog to see what ones you've recently recommended, and i would love to buy a few one day.
do i have to buy them over the internet? im guessing i wouldnt find these kind of films at my local video ezy store...
